District 1
General description
A gorgeous place with many gardens à la française and massive fountains, chateaux and rococo palaces, most of them located at the very top of the Hill of Angels, the highest level of the Royal Hills, which separates D1 from D2. The wealthiest families of aristocratic ascent tend to live there, while the others stay in the lower level of the Royal Hills. Still, many important D1 people do not live on the Hill of Angels; even owning a simple flat in this district is something only a well-off family could afford. There are mostly residential buildings but some expensive restaurants and cafés also. The district and its locals are often regarded as extremely pretentious, haughty and superficial.
D1 and the other districts
There is somewhat of a rivalry between D1 and D2, the two being the richest and most important districts in the City. D3, although located next to D1 and D2, is not really a part of the war to be the best district, for historical reasons. D8 is right below the Hill of Angels, and massive ornate staircases are the only link between D1 and D8, as well as a very touristic waterfall. The north-west of D10 is connected to the lowest level of the Royal Hills (aka D1), which means the people living there are pretty rich and appreciated by D1 inhabitants. The Central District basically is an extension of D1, since the architectural style is the same, and that is where people do their shopping etc. D1 is the only district (alongside the Central District) that has no transport links such as buses or tramways: people are expected to drive or to walk.
Important places and their residents:
- 1st Avenue: starting in the Central District, and leading directly towards the 1st Boulevard and Villa Capita.
- Villa Capita: the most important walled community in the City. Entrance: 1st Boulevard and 1st Avenue junction. Home to: Jasper and Aurelius Capita (Prim Palace, in 1st Av.), Celestine Capita (???), Lady Cherry de Lydite (Candescence, in Golden Creeks Court), Esmeraude des Sautres (??? Mansion, in 1st Av.).
- 1st Boulevard: Home to: Chalk, Ivory, Rosmarus and Nitzana Canto (No.6), Platinum Diamant (No.166).
- 1st Street: Home to: Cordelia Tzee (No.???).
- Hill of Angels: Home to: Jasper Capita (Paradise Palace, in Paradise Promenade), Lance and Javelin Elsius de Grey (De Grey Castle).
- The Empyrean Academy: the second best school in the City (the first one being the Classical Academy in D2).
